19th Century French Gilt Bronze Encrier Desk Stand Double Inkwell

Antique 19th Century French Gilt Bronze double inkwell or Encrier. Beautiful chasing and sculpted gilded bronze, mounted with lovely acanthus details. It is flanked by double inkwells. The pen tray is embellished with repousse ornamentation as well as the face of Poseidon who sits within a detailed shell.
